The True Girl Pajama Party Tour is the most fun a mom and daughter will ever have digging into God’s Word. Complete with songs, games, and dances, it gets you up on your feet and out of your seat. It’s safe to say that this energetic, lively night is one you will not soon forget!

And yet, none of that matters in light of our True Girls knowing how precious they are to Christ. Therefore, we soak every attendee in Biblical truths, praying that those young ears will hear and believe their true identity in God. But beyond those events, we want you to be able to continue this conversation with your daughter. So here are some power verses for every beautiful princess in the Kingdom of God.

The True Girl Tour, specifically, strives to remind our girls that they were each personally created by God. We remind them of their beauty and encourage you to do the same with her by memorizing Psalm 45:11,13 with her.

“Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;
honor him, for he is your lord.
All glorious is the princess within her chamber
her gown is interwoven with gold.”

A princess! But this is not a princess like any other! This is a princess who isn’t obsessed with a stereotype of picture perfecting, but one that knows her royal responsibility to take care of her King’s people. God does not put someone in a royal position for their own enjoyment, but for the benefit of others. I Timothy 2:1,2 turns the modern notion of a princess on it’s royal crown and reminds us of our royal responsibility:

"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way."

Maybe this means that a girl isn’t obsessed with how many people like her, but how many people need her to be their friend! After all, a Princess of God’s is not like others. She is unique. We encourage them to go against the flow of pressure to be model-thin or air-brushed to perfection, but instead to shine their natural, unique self wherever they go. They never need to be ashamed of what makes them different, as Solomon exclaimed in Song of Solomon 6:8-9:

“Sixty queens there may be,
and eighty concubines,
and virgins beyond number;
but my dove, my perfect one, is unique,
the only daughter of her mother,
the favorite of the one who bore her.
The young women saw her and called her blessed;
the queens and concubines praised her.”

Our prayer is that our True Girls will hold on to that in a world of comparison.

So how should we, as Princesses, live in light of these truths? Well, the King dictates how we live. We are obedient to him, which includes expressing our beauty with appropriate care. Our Fashion Show, demonstrates how to be beautiful inside and out! Our True Beauty challenge calls on girls to spend more time with God than they do before the mirror. 1 Peter 3:3-4 reads:

“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”

We move from outer to inner beauty as we reflect on our hearts and how they make us beautiful in God’s eyes. We encourage the girls that it is ok to enjoy the occasional trip to Claire’s, but that the majority of our time needs to be spent on making our hearts beautiful.

Our goal is to get girls to agree with Psalm 139:14:

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”

Through these verses, girls can know fully that they are beautiful, valued, and royal in the Kingdom of God. We pray that their hearts are drawn to God and surrendered in His presence.

Finally, while we are often encouraged to believe that God can do anything, we are put that under the microscope. Did you know that there are three things God cannot do?

God cannot lie. God will always tell the truth. In Hebrews 6:18, we read:

“...it is impossible for God to lie...”

God cannot change. How wonderful is it that God is constant! We encourage the girls by reading Hebrews 13:8:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

God cannot let you into Heaven without Jesus. We remember Jesus as we ponder this truth together, and we are grateful for His sacrifice on our behalf. Through this, we read John 14:5-6:

“Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

At the end of the night, our prayer is that all guests at the Pajama Party Tour recognize their true value and accept that they were created as princesses in the Kingdom of God. We hope that you continue spending time with your daughter and constantly teach her to embrace this gift and live according to it.
